Grahame and Pixie

Graham and Pixie in front of his portraits
Grahame left Camberwell with a BA Honours and then received an MA at the Royal Academy in the late 70s. He settled in St Davids in 1982 and has painted and exhibited in Pembrokeshire for the last 25 years.
Grahame's paintings are vibrant and atmospheric. They represent a personal interest in the activities of landscape, the way colour and movement combine.
‘Most of my work is made in situ: out there, and in that sense is a continued search for direct immediate vision of eternal subjects. A celebration of being in the moment.'
He has an unique style which captures the sublime joy of the wonderful landscape, and manages to convey the shimmering light and intensity with a palette of colours that sing.
Also on show is a fine collection of portraits not exhibited before. Sensitive, intimate, beautiful studies of friends painted over the years, and an aspect of this talented artist that we have not had the pleasure of seeing in public.
He has exhibited widely, in London, at The Royal Academy Summer Show, The Whitechapel Gallery, The New Grafton, Ifield in Chelsea, and also The John Moores, Liverpool, The Waterfront, County Mayo, and in Wales and around Pembrokeshire.
