'Bound' was an Arts Council of Wales 'Creative Wales' supported project. I
aimed to identify and 'wrap' an ancient dead tree in each of the old
counties of Wales. At present this stands at 9 counties and i hope to
return to the project in time and with funding to complete my intention.

This exhibition is a photographic record of this project

My reason for making work comes from a desire to connect with others - to
assuage some of the feelings of separateness, which form part of the human
condition. A desire to take work out of a gallery environment into the
public realm and to draw attention to the beauty in the everyday is
illustrated most visibly in 'Bound'. The project connects me to the land:
physically, in the time spent wrapping the trees and through the long
journeys spent in seeking them out; and also emotionally, when meeting and
talking to those local to the area and those that own and work the land.

The exhibition is open 10am-5pm daily.
