The project is about how, universally, we want to be remembered
after we have died or gone away from somewhere. We all want
people to know we existed.
The research for the stories was definitely the hardest part,
but also the most satisfying. The words are definitely not
my words, but those of family members or close friends of
those who had died.
It was enormously satisfying to track down a family on the
other side of the UK who maybe used to holiday in Pembrokeshire
and once I had found the story, putting the words and pictures
together was always a treat. People were incredibly generous,
sharing their stories with a total stranger - I was always
touched and very moved.
The exhibition is open 10am-5pm daily.
