In Oriel Fach, there was a collection of contemporary ceramics from students on the BA course in UWIC – the University of Wales in Cardiff. Ingrid Murphy who was the leading light in West Wales School of Art, Carmarthen, for over ten years and who has always been a great supporter of Oriel Q and encouraged many of her students to exhibit here, is now head of the ceramic department in Cardiff. I am delighted that she is continuing this special relationship with Oriel Q and bringing us the cutting edge of ceramics with this small collection.
