Mike is a keen amateur photographer who retired from education after 37 years as a teacher in the UK and Australia. He now spends his time in Essex and Pembrokeshire. He has no formal training or qualifications in photography but simply enjoys taking pictures. Mike finds inspiration for his pictures in nature, informal portraits of people and animals, and in details of everyday scenes. His images cover the range from abstract to wildlife, especially birds, reflections, shapes and textures.

Although he uses digital equipment, Mike keeps manipulation of the images to an absolute minimum. His pictures are printed using archival quality inks and archival matt paper.
