An Indian Summer is the title for the three exhibitions on show during this time frame.

Jacqueline Palit has a superb collection of saris which she has amassed over the 30 plus years of her marriage to Calcutta-born Arabinda and from their frequent journeys to his family home. Weddings, funerals, feasts days and celebrations all call for a different sari, and Jackie never needs an excuse to buy as, every time she travels to India, she cannot resist the beautiful fabrics. Some of these are on display in Oriel Fach and Jaqueline will bring in more when she gives a talk on the history and symbolism of the designs and colours on Wednesday 14 October at 2.00pm.
